I met Dahee Lee on Instagram, when we were just coming out of the pandemic and things were assuming their ‘new’ normal. We share a love for the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, and are both able to read and play his music. Where Dahee Lee interprets Bach’s music through paint, I interpret Bach’s music through vectors.

We were both very curious to see how we would portray the music of the Baroque legend as one was using analogue and the other digital means. Each week, we would share our translations - a few bars at a time - without seeing beforehand what the other was creating so that we could not be influenced by the other.

The results, I hope you will find are quite beautiful. Sometimes one can see parallels quite easily but other times, it is not so clear. Please take a look for yourself below.
