Xenochrony

In Greek, 'xeno' means foreign and 'chronos' time. Xenochrony then is a term and technique where a note or tune is borrowed from one piece and placed into another.

It was Frank Zappa, the American composer, singer, band leader who created this technique as early as the '60s.
